Recent Vegan Eats #12 [ Eden Kitchen, Infinity Foods Kitchen & Cactus Kitchen Girls ]

It’s been a little while since I’ve written a ‘Recent Vegan Eats in Post’. Usually, I write these posts on places in Brighton, but some of these places in this post are a little further out, yet definitely deserve a mention!

Eden Cafe

Whilst technically still in Brighton, Eden Cafe is in the Whitehawk suburb of East Brighton. It’s a vegetarian cafe, but most of the menu is vegan anyway! The staff are super friendly and you can really tell they are passionate about their business, their community and the food they develop and create! They have a lovely menu and ever-changing specials, along with a delicious array of vegan cakes. All the food is homemade and is beautifully presented. I went for one of their mixed salads which was just super tasty (especially the toasted cashews!) and a banana milkshake. We also shared a delicious slice of chocolate cake!

Infinity Foods Kitchen

A popular vegan eatery in the heart of Brighton! We’ve been here many times as the food is always so tasty, fresh and wholesome. On our latest visit, I went for a matcha latte, vegan quiche slice and a mixed salad bowl with toasted seeds and a tahini dressing.. mmmm!

Cactus Kitchen Girls

I’ve definitely written about CKG and their amazing burgers before. They used to reside in the kitchen at C Side Quest on Brighton Seafront, but after their tenancy ended, they opened up their own space in Worthing a few months later. Although I wish they were in Brighton, we are spoilt for choice here and now Worthing has its very own first fully vegan food place! It’s run by the lovely Sophie, who is always experimenting in the kitchen and coming up with amazing specials, sweet treats and meal ideas. As I’ve had a few of the burgers whilst they were in Brighton, I thought I’d go for their special of the week- fried oyster mushrooms in ‘sausage’ and pepper gravy with green beans. It was amazing! My friend and I also shared skin on fries and the most amazing cheesiest ‘notsorella’ sticks, which were sticky and oozing with vegan cheese. For dessert, I had tutti fruiti ice cream (which they buy in from Boho Gelato) which perfectly finished off the meal- it was refreshing and sweet, without being sickly!
